I’ve been waiting since July 2011 the RC Version of Configuration Manager 2012 or better known as “System Center 2012 Configuration Manager”, notice the re-branding of the product, it’s not any more “2012” it is “System Center 2012 Configuration Manager”, the same goes to the other products of the “System Center” family, now they are all named as “System Center 2012 Product Name”, it will take me some time to get used to it but that’s not a serious issue .
These are really exciting news, during MMS 2011 it was announced from the Configuration Manager Team, that there is a tool available in Community Technology Preview (CTP )Version which will facilitate the migration of Remote Site Servers that need to be retained during the Side-by-Side Migration process of Configuration Manager 2007 to Configuration Manager 2012.
Here is the official info, the link at the connect site to download it can be found at the end of the post:
The heat is up during this week in Las Vegas because of MMS 2011, the premier event for Systems Management organized by Microsoft is changing the way we manage, deploy and govern Systems and Datacenters.
So what’s better from great availability announcement of products we love such as Configuration Manager 2012!
