System Center 2012 RC Versions available for Public Evaluation (along with some Betas)


System Center Logo CompactWell after some hiatus from blogging I’m back to update you with stuff I learn for the System Center family of products and especially “Configuration Manager”.

I’ve been waiting since July 2011 the RC Version of Configuration Manager 2012 or better known as “System Center 2012 Configuration Manager”, notice the re-branding of the product, it’s not any more “System Center Configuration Manager 2012” it is “System Center 2012 Configuration Manager”, the same goes to the other products of the “System Center” family, now they are all named as “System Center 2012 Product Name”, it will take me some time to get used to it but that’s not a serious issue Smile.

Configuration Manager 2007: Advertisement status error


Fellow MVP from Canada Garth Jones has encountered an error while checking the Advertisement Status for a Specific time frame in Configuration Manager 2007, after the error message the console crashes.

Automating Configuration Manager 2007 Remote Server Migrations to CM 2012 Version with Configuration Manager Physical to Virtual Migration Toolkit (CTP)


SystemCenter_Logo These are really exciting news, during MMS 2011 it was announced from the Configuration Manager Team, that there is a tool available in Community Technology Preview (CTP )Version which will facilitate the migration of Remote Site Servers that need to be retained during the Side-by-Side Migration process of Configuration Manager 2007 to Configuration Manager 2012.
